POLLUTION'S DANGEROUS IMPACT
Creating pollution, Avoiding
the solution .
Global warming is
increasing🌞,
Flora and fauna species
are decreasing🐧,
Coral Reefs are also dying.
Glaciers and Icebergs are
melting🏔,
Floods and Tsunamis are
coming🌊.
Throwing plastic in
oceans♳,
Giving our Earth so much
burden🧊.
Changing rivers’ route🚣,
In some places causing
drought⛅.
Upcoming extreme weather
events🌀,
Like many more heat
waves🔥.
Threatening the planet
in a new unexpected way🌍,
Volcanic eruptions,
avalanches🌋,
And triggering earthquakes
every day⛈.
Rain, Snow and storms🌨,
Now, our Earth is deformed🌦.
All because of global
warming,
What has happened to the
world 🌎,
In which we are living.
The Earth is slowly
getting worse🌏,
We need to take care of
it like a nurse🩺.

THE UNNECESSARY POEM
The Art Gallery🎭,
Had some mysterious mystery🔮.
The Baker from the bakery🎂,
Showed some bravery.
He unlocked the code,
using the stuff of machinery🔨.
He found a laptop battery🖥,
Along with a set of cutlery🍴.
Including the stuff of pottery,
Which is usually found in the nursery🌿.
Why did you read this poem,
It's unnecessary.

COCONUT
Two years ago, in October, we met
a cat📆,
Who was really easy to pet.
All you need to do is stand
still👭,
She will come to you on her own
will.
We named her Coconut🥥,
She was as socialized as Lovebirds🐦.
Coconut – The most
adorable meowing cat😺,
The best animal whom
I ever met 🐈.
During the time of lockdown and
curfew,
The doorbell didn't ring but
meowed you😻.
Her beautiful eyes sometimes showed love, sometimes glare,
sometimes a scary death stare👀.
Even though she could only say "meow😽",
Her eyes asked us, "Kya mein ghar ke andar aau (me ow) 😼?"
Everyday, she looked after my basil plant🪴,
Like a compassionate caretaking aunt👩.
Coconut and Peach always
fought like Tom and Jerry😾,
But both the cats were
always merry😸.
The way she expressed her emotions,
Made her the one chosen.
She never broke anything
in our house🏡,
And never ran away just
to catch a mouse🐁.
At the pigeons she
always stared😹,
Which made all the
pigeons really scared 😬.
Her way of playing games
was very unique,
As she always won when
we played Hide and Seek.
We had a special bond of mutual
understanding,
Where I understood her and she understood
me.
She got very famous in our
society.
Calming everyone's stress and anxiety.
Now, who thought a calico cat
would be so interesting,
Who ended up teaching us so many
things🙀.
Whenever she slept on
the cozy bed🛏,
I was there too, just
sleeping beside her head🤯.
Whenever she came to us,
always made me smile😊,
Don’t know why viral fever took her far a mile.
When she was gone, many flats filled with
tears🏢,
Especially the ones of me and my neighbor’s.
I really hate that viral fever😿,
Which forever took away
my satisfaction.
I miss her a lot,
Forget her no one cannot.
I know that I will never be able to meet
her again,
But her memories flood my brain.
I still hear many cats’
noise🔊,
But none of them is Coconut’s voice😞.

OFFLINE
SCHOOL AFTER LOCKDOWN
School is saying no to canteen🥫,
So now coming to school is no longer my
dream🏫.
All time social distancing and wearing
mask😷,
Where completing homework is your daily task📚.
At school, no permission to mobile phone📱,
So, better attend online classes and stay
at home🏠.

MEGHALAYA'S DANCE, MUSIC AND VIBRANT COSTUMES
Celebrations
in Meghalaya are incomplete without dance and music involvement💃,
Meghalaya dance forms an integral part of the culture and is important🎊.
Some
of the Meghalaya dances are shad sukmysiem ,
derogata,
do dru Sua, laho, shad nongkrem .
The
land comes alive with these wonderful dance performances,
and
great songs accompanied by the sound of traditional instruments🎶.
The
dance at Meghalaya is performed at every society’s level,
like
birth, marriage, annual festivals💒.
The
dance forms in the state are dedicated to various events,
such as social, agricultural, religious and recreational🎉.
Shawl
is another costume which is important,
Its colours are bright and vibrant🎭.
The
traditional costume is unstitched garment,
is
made of Mulberry silk which is worn around the body called as Jainsen .
The
Garo tribes wear a blouse along with Dakmanda with floral patterns🌸,
The Khasi Tribes wear Jainsen along with a blouse and Gold or silver ornaments.

OCEAN
The smell of the ocean,
Is like a fish tank but open.
Life of fishes differ from an aquarium,
Here they perform on sea shells like in an auditorium.
The water is crystal clear,
For jellyfishes’ glowing competition, let
us cheer.

MY CHILDHOOD HOUSE
My maternal grandparent’s old house has a big courtyard🏡,
With so many ducks that came
at our house’s private ghat 🦆.
So many trees of mangoes and neem 🥭,
Including Papayas and
jackfruits trees🌲.
Situated beside the Sagar
Lakha Banjara Lake🤽,
Where we did boating all the
day🚣.
We gave food to monkeys, cows, goats🐐,
And to my maternal grandfather’s favorite dog
named Facebook🐶.
The morning rising sun behind
the hills🌄,
and that beautiful sunset
with the shadow on the lake🌅.
The chirping of the birds🐦,
The sound of the ringing
bells of the temples🛕.
This beautiful scenery has a
lot of worth🌇,
All atmosphere gives the
feeling of heaven on the Earth🌏.
The calm shore where I
played with ducks, squirrels, birds🦆,
Yes, that’s where I spent my childhood👶.

SHOPPING ADVENTURE
I arrived to the market,
Of dainty foods🍱.
One hour before dawn🌅,
I hope I don’t yawn🥱.
I went to the market,
named Target,
brought a Jacket,
Got a free Racket.
Bought a candle and a few ladle🕯.
My sister bought Shopkins,
picked some napkins,
and some other toys by her choice.
We also bought fairytale books📘,
and a showpiece of brook🌊.
Also bought some chips
and candy🍬,
Which hardly come handy.
Everything there was of good quality,
with the latest technology.
It was all organized,
So, it could be easily recognized.
Alas, To the market I went,
All the money I spent💸.

BOOK LOVER'S ODYSSEY
Flipping the pages📃,
Reading the same book since ages📙.
I have by-hearted this story📖,
Just like 2016 film – Finding Dory🐠.
Pages full with terror,
Hearing the voices horror.
With very long chapters to read, indeed🔖.
The book had no drama, but full of suspense📑,
Reminding me the hours of reading I spent🕧.
I was pulled inside this book,
With sharp, long nails💅,
The only thing I could see was a grey tail🐃.
When my eyes opened👀,
I could see everything blur,
But I remember, I saw something like fur.
Slowly, Slowly, My vision became clear.
I was lost in a huge city🏙,
For myself now I feel pity.
Finally I saw someone with their heads big🗣,
Wearing a purple wig🟣.
I was in an unknown place,
That place frightens me so much.
Never imagined it beforehand,
Never gonna go back to that scary land.
