EXTINGUISHING THE FLAMES

The fire added fuel to the flames๐Ÿ”ฅ,

People yelped and started to hustle.

Firefighters managed their time๐Ÿ›ฑ,

by coming little early and๐Ÿš’,

continuing the flow of my poem's rhyme.

They told hold your horses!

Beware of those lichens and mosses.

Some people started fainting and felt smothered,

and started talking about the next procedure.

Firefighters told save your breath!

and keep your chin up!

They started walking hand in hand,

and kept pouring the sand.

While others said give it your best shot!

to pull your socks up!

The fire started smouldering,

Some people started counting their blessings,

Somehow the firefighters brought good ending.

THRILLING CIRCUS

A journey by the bus๐ŸšŒ,

Took us to a circus๐ŸŽช,

Where some performances were funny,

But others were dangerous.

Some performed acrobatics๐Ÿ’ƒ,

Others jumped from high swings.

A motorcyclist rode inside a huge iron dome๐Ÿ,

And said, “Don’t try this at home๐Ÿก.”

Dogs jumped through the rings of fire๐Ÿ”ฅ,

By which everyone started to admire.

Everyone always remembers such thrilling shows,

About which only the audience knows.

THE GIGANTIC SILKWORM

There was a silky, gigantic silkworm๐Ÿ›,

Who sat on a sticky leaf๐Ÿ‚,

and watching the scenery,

full of greenery.

When it was dark,

It didn’t go to home๐Ÿก,

And did some work.

Went for a visit somewhere,

Saw a bee making honey in her beehive๐Ÿ,

Silkworm asked let’s do hi-five.

Snake in a dusty hole,

Silkworm was scared about snake๐Ÿ,

Because it will eat him whole.

It saw a moth,

From 90 degree angle,

And then got hurt from a cloth,

And got tangled.

Also dreaming of breathing,

Oxygen in lungs,

By looking at Jack and Jim,

Even when it was dark and dim.

Silkworm thought, “Whether a clown is a noun”,

If yes, Silkworm will discover whole town.

A lot of Money and jewellery fell from sky๐ŸŒ†,

Silkworm said, “How from so high?”,

Others said he got lottery,

But then later he understood,

It was the stuff of robbery.

THE CHERRY TREE

In winter , There was a small cherry seed๐ŸŒฑ,

Which got 2 new twigs in Spring.

After 2 - 3 months in monsoon,

It was 2 feet high little bit.

But a hungry goat came๐Ÿ,

And ate the leaves of it.

Now, only the main stem,

And 2 thin branches were left.

At the end of monsoon๐ŸŒง,

New leaves grew again.

But a woman came๐Ÿ‘ฉ,

And cut it into half.

Now only 2 branches were left.

A fresh summer morning๐ŸŒ…,

New leaves grew again.

A hungry caterpillar came๐Ÿ›.

And ate some flowers of it๐ŸŒธ.

Across 1 year passed,

It was the month of Feb,

It was the time of winter there.

There was a lot of snow๐Ÿ”,

Because of the weight of snow,

The tree bent very low.

Some days later in February,

The tree grew tall,

In which, Got stuck my cricket ball๐Ÿ.

The pink blossom was at the

End of the branch.

The squirrels came for the picnic,

With some nuts to crunch and munch๐ŸŒฐ.

Same year's Summer,

The cherry tree had more blossoms,

And became more taller.

Even older than other trees near,

So now no fear.

Blossoms came and went away,

But the tree still kept blossoming.

Small 4 sour cherries came๐Ÿ’,

This was only the cherry tree's aim.

A few days later in a,

warm sunny afternoon,

One more cherry tree had grown,

In such a way.

RAINBOW

I heard there is a rainbow in sky๐ŸŒˆ,

Do you know why?

There is a rainbow in the sky,

Do you know how it came by?

There is a rainbow in the sky,

Do you know how does it really look  like?

There is a rainbow in the sky,

Do you know how did it form and fly?

Drops of water through the sunlight๐Ÿ’ง,

Gave the sky a bright light,

To look pretty bright.

This also gave it a pretty sight.

ODISHA - THE LAND OF CULTURE

Odisha also known as Orissa,
Has ample amount of temples๐Ÿ›•,
As its a home to various,
Temples and monasteries.

Every temple has a history,
Every temple has a mystery.
Its full of distinct culture,
That's why known as land of culture.

Bhubaneswar is Odisha's capital,

Also its the Indian city of temple.

Jagannath Puri, Konark art and sculpture,

Makes us all so memorable.

The Atharnala bridge in Puri,
Which consists of 18 arches,
dates back to the 13th century.

Lord Jagannath is related to Master of Universe,
Every year during Rath Yatra festival,
We pull the chariots, From Janakpur to one of the
four most sacred temples in four directions of India.

Sun Temple in Konark,
Is built in form of Surya, the Sun God's Chariot.
It comes complete with seven horses๐ŸŽ,

Twelve pairs of wheels.

The architecture of the temple alone
is astounding giving us a glimpse,
into the 13th century when it was built.

The carvings on the walls only serve to enhance its wonder.
Rocks edicts of king Ashoka,
Can be found at Dhauli,
Caves of Rani Gumpha,

Khandagiri and Udaygiri.

Odisha has a continuous tradition,
Of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

That's why Odisha is home to Hindu saints,
Buddhists and Jains.

Odisha is the Land of fertility,
With a significant part of its history,
Is reflected in forts such as,
Barabati fort in Cuttack,
Sisupalgarh fort in Bhubaneswar,
and Asurgarh fort in Kalahandi.

There are many more like Lingaraja Temple,

Shanti Stupa, Chausath Yogini Temple,

Brahmeshwar Temple, Ananta Vasudeva Temple, etc.

Each temple has a very famous name,

Future must earn fame.
Inspired us all in such way,
Each and every day.

What shall I write more about this place?

Full of wonderful places, each different,

But with style amaze.

Enjoyment with each flora and fauna,

This amazing lovely city is in India.

The written places are some of the noted,

But there are so many that they can’t be jotted.

RIVERS DO DRY BUT THEY NEVER DIE

In monsoon, the days of better rainfall,

It would flood through valleys,

Villages, small towns and cities.

It washed over the garden walls,

And nearby shops.

And when it was winter,

It froze, and you could skate for miles,

That’s how the river in my city lies.

When its the time to go,

Not here but there,

It was a beautiful disused route to the sea,

Before going there the river smiled at me.

It was a fish path with no fish in it.

A flowing river went to dry,

“Now what will happen next?”, said me

And did a cry.

It was like water forgot to flow.

It took my breath away,

The whole water went out,

And became empty.

The river dried up the same day,

And I couldn’t do anything to save it,

So, I still thought of poetry.

The flowing river has now become

Very small and damaged and quite dry,

Very eroded and faded, Exhausted,

Cracked and whimpering,

Very endangered now.

No voice but a clearing rustle

As of little distant sound of dry grass.

Little hobbling, tripping of a nearly dried-up river,

Little sucked thin low-burning glint of stones.

Rivers are also known as stream,

Flowing to the ocean deep.

Where the river was flowing,

Now lies every moment still,

In its dry up of nowhere going.

And the sky has become blue,

But still no more water coming through.

But a dried river looks old and dry,

Sky’s clouds are drifting by.

For every foliage to fulfill,

Dried up sprinkling life giver,

All you irrigate is now gone.

In these instant breeze shiver,

Carrying no water cycle on and on.

There is some point in our life,

When things get rough,

And also tough.

Like rivers, soon it will dry.

Neither it stays permanent,

Nor it stays forever.

Everything has an end,

Maybe today, or maybe not yet.

But as a river dries up,

There is something, a cause to it.

Something that is blocking it source,

Or something that has cut its connection.

But you can still find a way,

Like a river all dried up,

Water, it stills finds its way.

From here or there,

From the hot, dry and barren land,

It will struggle its way back,

Until it doesn’t reach.

The river did not give up,

Even after drying,

And it still didn’t die.

THE GOLDEN CARROT

Once upon a time, during summer, a rabbit named Pinky Rose was playing in the garden. Her mother was very sick. Pinky Rose was very Hungry. So, She went to her neighbor's Garden of carrots. She saw many carrots. She thought she would take some carrots for herself and for her mother. She started collecting the carrots. The gardener came to water those carrots. He saw Pinky Rose collecting those carrots. The gardener shouted, "Hey you foolish rabbit, get out of my garden." The gardener picked rabbit and kept it out of the house. The rabbit felt very sad. Pinky Rose had a friend named Ruby. She went to Ruby's house. Pinky told the whole story to Ruby. Ruby went to the kitchen and brought a Golden carrot. Ruby gave golden carrot to Pinky and said, "Give it to your mom." Pinky thought, "What a Golden carrot can do!"  Pinky went back home and gave the Golden carrot to her mother. Soon ,Her mother recovered and felt very happy.

IF I WERE A KITE

If I were a kite๐Ÿช,
I would take a cake bite๐Ÿฐ,
in happiness.
I would see a very good sight,
from a great height.
Everyone can pick me up,
as I am very light.
I will have a fight,
with my friends who are kites.
This is what I will do,
If I were a kite.

If I were a kite, I would be colourful,
and beautiful.
I would fly,
like the birds in the high sky๐ŸŒ„.
Then my mom would say,
"oh , my!,
how did you fly ,
so high in the sky?"
If I were really a kite ,
this might happen so.

BIRD

We see birds in the sky,

Who fly very very high .

Their colourful feathers, beautiful eyes,

Wonderful to look at like glacier and ice .

Birds chirping in the charming sky,

Saying everyone hi and bye .

Making nests with strings, sticks and grass,

Tailor bird’s nest is as thin as vase.

Each and every birds’ nest is so lovely shown,

Now the chicks of these birds are grown.

Nestlings fight for food,

No matter what’s their mood.

They eat grains and rice,

Which look like gold and silver from their eyes .

They enjoy playing above the clouds,

Look, I made a Parrot using clay mould.

I’m a bird! , I’m a bird!,

Say it out aloud.

Flying near the colourful rainbow,

And near the crossbow of a farmer’s scarecrow .

Some bird’s legs are as thin as a stick,

The young one of a hen is a chick.

 CHRISTMAS

I went out, when reopened the lockdown,

Missing the Santa Claus๐ŸŽ…,

Favourite of every child,

Who brought us everyone,

A gift of smile.

No matter who is what,

He brought equal gifts to every child๐ŸŽ.

For celebrating Christmas,

You shall know its History,

Filled with so many mystery.

Christmas is a festival,

In which Santa comes on Reindeer๐ŸฆŒ.

It's winter so cold December.

Christmas is celebrated on Jesus Christ's birthday,

on 25th December,

Do you remember?

Christmas also known as X-mas,

Which fills us with lot of fun.

I walked ahead and saw a Christmas tree๐ŸŽ„.

Let’s celebrate Christmas with my poems and me,

In which we decorate the Christmas tree,

and meet and greet the Santa happily.

Santa's sleigh is gold and red,

When the gifts are kept,

We are sleeping on the bed.

Santa comes on sleigh in snow,

laughing ho ho ho,

secretly keeps the gifts and goes,

Do you know?

The Santa flew back to the sky,

On the reindeer,

Saying everyone good night and bye bye.

COZY WINTER WONDERLAND

It's the time for Winter.
In which we wear sweater,
To escape the cold weather
.
Winter blows with cold winds abound๐ŸŒจ.
Snow piling up on the frozen ground
๐Ÿ”.
Winter is very cold,
when the snowflakes fall❅,
We skate and ski๐Ÿ‚,
and make snowman and snowball.
Smooth and clean,
and frosty white☃,
It's the season to be young,
catching snowflakes on our tongue❆.
Winter has a lot of snow,
So, hop on the sleigh and lets go!
